Okay, explain to me how the Affordable Healthcare Act is going to be beneficial b/c thus far all I’ve heard is that premiums through this law can be as high as one quarter to one half of your income for plans with $3K to $5K deductibles; friends with existing health insurance plans through companies like BCBS are seeing their benefits double to triple; a few friends who once qualified for Medicaid no longer qualify and have lost their benefits b/c income limitations have been lowered, so with the same income with which they once qualified for Medicaid they are now expected to pay these increased premiums; and that a portion of our insurance premiums are actually a tax paid to the Federal Government. I fail to see what is affordable about any of it. The ONLY good thing that I’ve heard about it is the elimination of pre-existing conditions. So, I would love for someone to enlighten me and tell why/what I should look forward to in this law.
