Okay, for all of you who dont want to believe the Bible was Preserved by God, infallible and inherent. and who claim there is no Biblical proof that he did. Sit down take out your pens and paper and Learn something! You ask the Question But is there any example of God preserving his word in the BIBLE? why certainly!!!! FIRST OF all check out the high priest During Josiahs reign found in the book of the Law. Hidden in the House of the Lord. (2 Kings chapter 22) You see God kept a PURE COPY hidden during the years of rebellion and idolatry so the Good king Josiah could find it and bring about reforms in the land.. O.K Any Questions? SECOND: Check out Jeremiah chapter 36. where Jeremia had ALL THE WORDS OF THE LORD. written upon a scroll (roll) Verse 4, then see how after the roll was cut up and burned.. God commanded him to WRITE ALL THE FORMER WORDS. verse 28 upon another roll,, plus.. some New Words .verse 32. This is extremely significant. The Original is Destroyed, and Jeremiah makes a copy of all the Original words and then adds more. The copy is not identical to the original yet BOTH are SCRIPTURE! THEY DO NOT CONTRADICT EACH OTHER. remember that GOD himself directly told Jeremiah to add words!!! The Lesson here: A COPY DOES NOT HAVE TO BE VERBALLY AND PLENARILY IDENTICAL TO THE ORIGINAL TO BE SCRIPTURE...... For the New Testament account showing the preservation of Gods words, look at Luke chapter 4. where Jesus goes to the synagogue to read from the book of the prophet Esaias, remembering that... He read from a COPY of Isaiah and not the original!, and not once did he correct it, or omit any words from it. even the words that God added. THE COPY JESUS READ FROM WAS A PURE AS THE ORIGINAL/ If it wasnt Jesus would have said so. (Matthew 44)
