Okay, for those who may be wondering, this time last night is a blur. Had to call 911/ambulance to transport David to hospital around 10:30 pm. Severe headache, chest pain, elevated (extremely blood pressure), so I had to send him off in an ambulance, alone, because, yes, I admit it, Id been celebrating the Cowboys victory in the good old fashioned way, and I knew better than to drive. No sense making a bad situation worse. Bottom line, I tried to get a ride, but couldnt. So I sat and got sober for the next 4 hrs, crying, worrying, and Jeffrey Wyrwitzke was the only trusted friend outside of family I could find on line, and he spent an hour talking with me, calming me down, etc., at one point in the ambulance Davids bp shot up to 185/125, and they gave him 2 nitro in the ambulance before reaching the hospital which is 12 minutes away. My poor poodles didnt know what to think with all the strange men in the house, (volunteer Fire Department got here first, then Medics), and Id herded the dogs into the back yard, until medics the easiest way to get David out on a stretcher was the straight shot thru the back yard to the back door. So I herded my 6 babies, all frantic, out of the back yard (which was dripping wet) through the house and locked them in the back bedroom. Eventually they got Davids malignant blood pressure down to a manageable 135/85 and called me to pick him up at 0400. I went, picked him up, we came home, and crashed and burned for a few hours. Now hes had some elevated BP tonight, but not as high, and finally got an appt with his cardiologist Tues @ 1300. I didnt want to post all this before David had a chance to tell his family, and Im very grateful and thankful I can hear him breathing in the back bedroom...kinda like a moms ears for her baby. Thats what happened last night, we got home around 5am, and Im gonna keep Avery tomorrow. Got clothes folded, floors vacuumed, dishes washed, and one load of laundry done. Amazing what bursts of adrenaline fueled by fear will prompt you to do. Please pray that David and his docs can get this bp under control, Im not ready to say good-bye yet, if ever.
