Okay, found an old school report today from Hartshill school. English coursework: B Exam: A Effort: B , French: B B B History: C A B, R.E.: C A C Drama: E E D, Music: D C C, Maths: A B A Biology: B A A, Physics: A B B , Geography: B A B Technology: B B B , C.D.T. : D D B , P.E. E for Effort Form tutor: James is growing in confidence generally and does appear to be organising himself rather better than he has done, which I am pleased to see. He is a quiet likeable boy English: James is intelligent, listens to what he is told and produces good work. His essay composition is good and his mastery of the basics is above average. James problem is still that the presentation of his work will handicap him French: A most pleasant and reliable member of the group, James is always willing to participate in all activities to the best of his ability, and is making good progress in all aspects of the subject History: Although James handwriting is still a cause for concern at times, he has steadily improved the quality of his work. He tended to lack sufficient speed with his written work in class, and often the end result was an absence of the required amount of detail. However, he has shown some promise in document work and his examination result was quite encouraging Maths: James is m aking good progress in his own quiet way. He finds the work interesting and must not be afraid to ask when encountering difficulties Biology: James works well, and, as his grades show, he is producing a good standard of work. His examination mark was particularly pleasing, and I hope these grades will encourage him to continue to work well Physics: A Good performance. James coursework grade is much improved now that few lessons have been missed. He can cope with GCSE level sciences Okay so Im intelligent but have terrible handwriting and am certainly not that much of a creative person, if Id have been able to use a computer or typewriter to do my work on then my grades would have been even higher and I would have been faster. Going by my abscences I apparently missed 36 days of school (7 weeks?) I think I know why i was off for some of them but not all.
