Okay friends. You know were all about the yummy food in here. But we must also take care of ourselves too. So maybe this isnt old fashioned but I tell ya, these are good! I gave them a whirl tonight and I was pleasantly surprised on how good they were. So try them if you like :) KALE CHIPS Per baking sheet - 1/2 bunch of kale 1/2 Tbls olive oil or coconut oil 1 & 1/2 Tbls nutritional yeast 1 tsp garlic powder 3/4 tsp chili powder 1/2 tsp onion powder 1 tsp smoked paprika 1/2 tsp fine grain sea salt or Himalayan sea salt 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper Preheat oven to 300 degrees and line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Mix all spices together in a small bowl and set aside. Remove leaves from the stems of the kale and tear leaves into pieces. Wash the leaves and pat dry completely. Place leaves in large mixing bowl and pour oil onto them. Mix thoroughly so all leaves are covered with very light layer of the oil. Shake the spice mixture slowly into the leaves while mixing together with your hands to evenly coat all leaves with light layer of seasoning. Place even layer of leaves on preprepared cookie sheets. Dont over crowd the pan or they wont crisp up. Bake for 10 minutes then rotate the pan. Bake for another 15 minutes or until the chips are dried. Then...cut yourself a piece of pie! Haha ;)
