Okay guys heres my theory... You get singers that are meant to be in a choir not because they bad but thats what they good at. Then you get singers that are just good solo, they absultely deserve to be doing their own songs; alone. Choir would be a waste of talent for them... With dancers now.. You get dancers who are extremely GOOD in a GROUP but put them alone on stage and they aint so good anymore. Then you get people who can be just as effective as a group dancing solo. But in a group or choreo uhmmm they kinda okay. I believe its an issue unadressed. Then choreographyers say Put that same energy when you do a solo... But how?? This method of working will never grow dance... You know why? We will always be considered as Back Up dancers for an event or music video. Dancers dont yall ever wanna open up for an artist? Have a 2 mins just you on stage with your own choreographed routine?? Overseas are already doing it... Guess in South Africa we gotta wait 5 more years.
