Okay guys so GISHWHES starts on Saturday and Im going to need all the help I can get! What is GISHWHES you ask? Well let me tell you a thing! GISHWHES, which is an acronym for Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World has ever seen, is an annual week-long competitive media scavenger hunt. Teams of 15 competitors come together to earn points by submitting photos and videos of themselves completing prompts from a list they receive at the beginning of the week. Created by actor Misha Collins in 2011, he loved the idea of thousands of people from all over the world connecting to create incredible things and hoped to use GISHWHES to encourage participants to do good in the world. Proceeds from the hunt registration go to the Random Acts non-profit charity organization The hunt will run from August 2nd - 9th this year, and I am participating on Team #USSDestiel. The team was created after Supernatural’s Dean and Cas fans trended #USSDestiel in a movement on twitter as a way to take back the “ship” and show love for the pairing to the writers and creators of the show. We are a team of dedicated pirates from all around the world, and while our main goal is to have as much fun and be as outgoing and silly as possible while helping out Random Acts, we are determined to win in the name of Destiel.
