Okay, heres a conundrum. My cabbage is looking beautiful and coming along nicely. However, my broccoli apparently has become a fall feast for the bunnies. This morning I am seeing signs of munching on the outer cabbage leaves. At a time of year when my pantry and freezer are full, should I discourage these little creatures? I feed the birds, and the little squirrel that used to mock me while holding the fattest strawberry from my garden, now scampers across the fence to find the peanuts that I place between the pickets! Cabbage plants are easily replaced but ahh! a bunny for a garden companion! I think I will welcome him to whatever he chooses to munch. Hmmm........maybe I will even leave him a carrot or two!
