Okay, joining the game. Sally L Shaffer assigned me 7 things to say about myself: 1. I was completely obsessed with gymnastics as a kid and would religiously watch recorded gymnastic matches. Although I had to quit competing early for $ reasons, 18 years later, I can still do back flips and arials. Go me! 2. I had two (2) house fires growing up. 3. I have known my husband, Peter Shaffer, for 12 years. Started dating in 2009, got married July 2013. He was the lucky coach who got to deal with my three teammates/roommates and me when we found out my Dad passed away in 2002. He drove us from Jackson, WY to SLC in the Waterford Short bus and tried his damndest to make us smile the whole way. 4. My mom let me dress myself as a child. As a result, I was often found running around the neighborhood in leotards or swimsuits. Sometimes with tights and sneakers. If it was cold, I might have added a jacket to the ensemble. She also let me cut my own hair too. And sometimes let me cut the neighbor girls pig tails off. 5. I was notorious for faking stomach aches to skip school (still wonder if my Mom realized that). I remember doing this routinely until maybe 5th grade. I would get 7up, soup, and permission to sit on the couch and watch my gymnastic videos all day long. Kind of awesome. 6. One of the things I really miss is going on drives with my Dad. Up the canyon, to the Iceberg for oreo-banana shakes or roadtrips to ski camp and ski races. 7. I fed my entire ski team chocolate exlax with smores at Canon Beach (w the help of Jacqueline Coats and Jessie Ehrencrook. Matt Brown and Greg Phillips Jr... Im sorry. This same trip we unleashed open cans if cat food in Ryan Yates and Whit Henrys room only to find out later it grew maggots. Oh, and also helped Yates and Henry duct tape all the kids in camp to trees (Mitt Coats), posts Andy Phillips), stop signs Stephen Phillips) and whatnot throughout govy.
