Okay, now Im going to make my fellow liberal friends angry, because on this particular issue they drive me insane. You believe in Global Warming (as I do) because of the overwhelming scientific consensus, and believe in evolution (as I do) because of overwhelming scientific consensus, and pride yourself on making reasonable decisions based on evidence and science instead of the knee-jerk reactionary nonsense and superstition we accuse conservatives of doing all the time. And then for some reason all of that flies out the window when it comes to GMOs, we suddenly become the Westboro Baptist Church of rutabagas? Dont get me wrong, Im not a fan Monsanto due to its business practices, but just because a company does bad things, or is bad , doesnt mean everything it does is inherently evil i.e. Just because the Johnson & Johnson family is five generations of crazy doesnt mean that its baby powder is laced with anthrax. You need to learn how to dissociate the two. The fact is that the percentage of scientists and doctors that think GMOs are harmful is about the same as those that deny global warming. So you get to choose one or the other but not both. If you have a problem with things that are genetically modified then you should probably stick with algae because everything else on the planet has been genetically modified by us over the past 10,000 to 12,000 years. Just remember until Almonds were genetically modified they would kill anyone who ate them by breaking down into hydrogen-cyanide, Corn came from grass, and chihuahuas came from wolves, and Cows are about as natural as Joan Rivers face, and English Bulldogs are an Ungodly Chimeric crime against nature by any estimation. So if were going to ban GMOs we need to fire up the gas-chambers for the rest of agriculture, and domesticated animals as well, lest one demonic molecule enter our body that hasnt passed the mother nature millennia of agonizingly cruel natural selection seal of approval enter into our food sources.
