Okay now that Sandy has won we need to start taking a more realistic look at the Tar-sands pipeline. Sam Jones promised us no Tar-sands in Mobile, but only after that horse was out of the barn and headed strait for us. If the Tar-sands goes through the watershed it will be the most heavily regulated and closely watched pipeline in this state. If we stop it from going through the watershed they will run it through our residential areas and it will no longer have the same regulation and environmental upgrades the local environmental organizations will demand. It’s coming no matter what, it’s time to stop fighting it and make sure with Sandy as our Mayor that it is as safe as it can be.
