Okay, rant time. I am the proverbial elephant hanging off the cliff by a daisy. 1. Immigration: In order to get the $2500 to hire an immigration lawyer, I had to sell the only safe, decent vehicle Ive ever owned. I was assured by said lawyer that this would cover the cost. So far its cost us over $10,000. We were assured that it would take around 6 months for him to get his visa and it took 16 months because of the US Embassy in London, as they set his application aside cos they didnt bother looking past the top page to see his intent. Because of this we had no idea how or when we could get married. When he finally called (as he was informed that we could not) they looked and he had an appointment within the week. He came home, we got a rushed wedding together as we could not marry during the first 30 days and needed the last 30 days to get all the paper work back to homeland security. (90 days total). Because of this, my priest informed me in confession that I could not be forgiven for my sins. 2. After hurriedly getting our papers in on time, we were informed that Mark would not be able to work until his work card was issued (end of sept) which would be followed by his permanent residence visa. It is now April and he still has not received it, as the federal government, thanks Obama) is overrun with granting illegals their citizenship. Because of this, the only job he could get was paying $9.00/hr, as, even though it is illegal, people do not want to go through the trouble of extra paper work. Between this and my $650/month disability payment is what we have to take care of our family of five. Which brings me to 3: Even though we are married, he is not considered a member of the family. However, they have taken his tax money and an insane amount as well for his insurance (which with the deductible pretty much insures that he has no health care and that his take home pay is around $250/weekly. We have now been informed that our income is too high for me to have Badger Care. I shall now receive a $4000 deductible before getting healthcare, which might as be a million cos we could never pay this. My other option...ta da...is Obama Care, which if we dont sign up for, we will be fined. This as well has such a high deductible that we can never meet it, as well as a monthly payment that we cannot pay. So, in reality, I have no insurance, meds that cost over $1000/monthly, and cannot receive the care that I need for my disabilities. The depression that can barely get me out of bed will have to wait, I cant get help. So in reflection, I applaud all of you who voted for Obama for your stupidity. You were so busy thinking national health care would be like England or Canada that you never took the time to actually look into it. Because of your ignorance, me, my family and millions of other low income families have no medical coverage to speak of. I cry for those who have cancer, diabetes, heart disease and other horrible afflictions as they will die because of Obama Care. The only reason I dont let go of this daisy is that God has blessed me with 6 children, a wonderful husband and an amazing family in England who has gone out of their way to help us stay afloat. If not for this I would have let go of the daisy a long time ago. LET THE SOCIAL CLEANSING BEGIN.....feeling pissed!
