Okay... since I have this deep need to always follow the rules and I did like Joanna DeWolfs list, I suppose I need to post my own as well. Here are seven (the number I was given... the perfect number it was pointed out) random facts about me: 1. I officially received my nerd-club card in grade school when, long before I could read Spanish, French, German, Greek, and Latin, I learned to read the Dwarven runes of Middle Earth. 2. My first sermon ever was in high school on a Sunday night and I used material from Christian comedian Mike Warnke. I was not funny. 3. I’m the oldest child of two youngest children and think birth-order dynamics has a lot to say about all of us. 4. When in college I was a pre-med major, intending to be a cardiovascular surgeon, and I came up with a cure for epilepsy that won me second prize in a national scholarship competition. Should’ve patented that thing! 5. I’m still commissioner of a fantasy football league that I started in 1991. 6. I have multiple books in my head that I need to put to paper (or computer screen, as the case may be). Just gotta’ take time to do it…. 7. My wife Mindi had to ask me out on our first date (thanks to prompting from Fr. Darius Makuja) since I’ve always been really shy around women and am a bit introverted by nature.
