Okay, so... I have some things bothering me that I would like to get off of my chest. You can consider this a rant, you can call me names such as a right wing extremist and blah blah blah, or you can consider this the cold hard truth. Most of you probably wont even read this and that is okay. I just have to tell it like it is. I have been hush about a lot of things lately and Im not sure I can take it anymore. So where do I begin? How about what happened to the United States of America? Used to be the greatest super power in the world, some of you might argue that it still is. Well the truth is, its not so great anymore and its not that Im downgrading my beloved country or that Im complaining, but lets be realistic and look at the facts here. What makes up a country? People do, people are the difference between great things and not so great things. The people make up the direction of where a country goes. You know growing up as a kid, I thought things where tough. Times where hard. I can vaguely remember my mom and dad living together in a 2 bedroom 1 bath singlewide trailer. My mother worked a factory job and my father worked at Cookeville plating and was in the national guard part time. I can remember now that I look back how hard it was on them. Two young people with a child, married right off the block. Eager to get life started. Only life wasnt they thought it would be. I didnt know how rough it was on them at the time. We were poor. But I couldnt tell, when you would walk in my room I had every toy you could think of. So I guess I had it made. But on my parents not so much. Finances wasnt the greatest between the two and being young got the better of them both so that parted was and they where divorced. I remember thinking man this sucks. Time went on, my father got on full time with the national guard and my mother had a fairly decent job out of factories. I thought my childhood was horrible and they werent perfect parents but they did they best they could. But here is my point before I write an autobiography on my life. Things where so tough then, we thought the times were just horrible. But when we look back where they really that bad compared to today? I mean gas was cheap, the economy was thriving and though my parents only made minimum wage at the time which was like 5 something an hour and they will still living and doing okay. We didnt have to worry about somebody breaking in our home. My parents didnt have to worry about me going off by myself outside. And while racism was existent growing up, I hardly heard anything or remember anything about racism growing up now it runs rampant. Its just living these days is just frustrating. I remember turning on the news as a kid and when I heard some bad news of someone being killed it was just horrible. Such a horrible thing to hear. The emotion I had then. And now when I turn on the news its nothing but negative constantly and it doesnt even phase us anymore. Its like we as a the people who make up this country are zombies, we feed into to whatever is being said. Growing up I never really even heard the term terrorism and now my kids who are two have to grow up in fear of going to the grocery store because the possibility of getting blown to pieces by a terrorist. Its insane. We are Americans since when are we afraid? What happened to America, what happened to the balls we had when we exterminated any evil threat against us. Even from the revolutionary war to Vietnam. Now it seems as if we give in to others because they dont believe the way we do so we need to change our ways. Really? Since when does America take sensitivity training? Since when do men wear girl pants and get facials? What happened to the men in this country? What happened to morals and responsibilities and not of afraid of dying for what we believe in? Go on folks think back when you where growing up and now take a look around how do you feel? You feel like a coward? Because you sat there and let this happen? We all have the power to do something and nobody chooses too. We take so much for granted. People these days and the way they treat our soldiers as if the government doesnt do a good enough job at treating them like shit. The American Sniper movie came out recently and there is talk about Chris Kyle being a psycho killer when he did what he had to do to keep us free. When the person who wrote that was sitting on a toilet nice and comfy tweeting when men and women and children are living in a place like Iraq who dont even have the luxury of sitting on a toilet they have to use a hole in the ground and the sewage runs out into the streets while kids play barefoot. And if the kids even have time to play because they are too busy working to help feed their families. When meanwhile in America we have teens suing their parents to pay for college, and thugs who attack police officers and get killed and people in America want justice of the cop who defended himself. I also remember growing up being surrounded by guns and guess what? They never killed anyone, I know how to operate them, I know their purpose and consequences. And do you know why that is? Its because Im a good person its got nothing to do with the gun. Evil people kill. And now this country wants to take away guns from the good people who just want to protect themselves from the evil. We live in a society that WE have created. A society where its okay for us to kill innocent unborn children but we just put a rapist behind bars with a job and tv. We live in a society that accepts killing a human being but if someone shoots a deer out of season you might as well give them the death sentence. We are a nation of laws upon laws and the funny thing is the nation doesnt even follow or enforce the laws they make new laws to amend the old laws. And lets not talk about the constitution that doesnt exist anymore. Your children are going to grow up in this violent world and its only getting worse and the only thing they know how to do is tweet. And we can blame Obama, we can blame the government, we can blame race, we can blame the terrorists. But the people who are truly to blame is own self. We stand by and let these things happen. Its our country we have the right to take a stand and change but nobody will because we are too afraid we will offend someone. I want all of you to stop and think about all this for a mintue. And I am open to a discussion below please feel free to comment. God bless you all.
