Okay...so I keep getting asking if I can build a Christmas light controller that someone can use to program sequences of lights to turn on and off to music. I can only assume that because of my super geeky electronics guru status I am who some of my friends have turned to for such answers. Anyways, this is the first rendition of my 8-channel controller with some quick sequence programming I have done. It is by NO MEANS complete in that my program has a lot of redundancy and needs my fine tuning. But you will get the gist of the project. I am using an Arduino Uno Microcontroller (same one I used a year ago on a project I posted I called Pooch Messenger. It was the dog feeder I built that dispensed dog food when I sent it a text). The board behind the lil blue Arduino is my 8 TRIAC solid state switches I designed to switch each channel on and off depending on the signal from the Vixen Software used to set up the song sequences. Sorry the audio is so soft, phone was not picking it up as I would have hoped. I also have a slight delay it appears on my video with timing of my audio. Likely due to having compress my video for uploading to Facebook... Anyways, Greek to most of you I am assuming so just watch and enjoy!
