Okay, so you liked Groundhogs Day with Bill Murray, and you liked Starship Troopers, but wish there was something with Tom Cruise in it that combined those two movies together into one. Well, friend, have I got a film for you! Yes, this is the alien invasion scifi epic that has Tom Cruise in it, and has the same plot as Groundhogs day. Seriously. Im not kidding! So Tom Cruise gets wasted on a futuristic battlefield, and wakes up the morning before the big invasion, and he realizes that hes repeating everything all over again, until he gets offed again... and again... and again... After buying the farm for the umpteenth time, they start to get cute and he dies a few humorous deaths, which is great for me, because I hate Tom Cruise and love watching him die repeatedly. Normally, a film can only have an actor bite the big one once. By the time we see Tom expire enough times, he unfortunately gets good at living longer and longer through the day, and a plan emerges to have him save the world. But ultimately, that gives the plot away too much. This is not very good Scifi, but it is entertaining enough, and full of good effects.
