Okay, we just had an impromptu convention in Harlans hospital room. Josh Olson and his beautiful wonderful new wife, Nancy Himmel, plus Mark Evanier, Alan Brennert, and myself. Harlan is in fine spirits. Hes doing a lot of physical therapy for his left arm and leg. From the neck up hes still an irascible old coot, talking a mile a minute and having us all laughing so hard it was amazing. Hospitals arent supposed to be this much fun. Im sure the doctors and nurses would be incredibly entertained if they understood half the arcane references. BTW, the difference between Klingon and Yiddish is that Klingon has vowels. So, dont panic -- Harlan is still Harlan.
