Problem with ardunio and ping sensor. I have an Ardunio Uno that is dedicated to the operation of the ping sensor. While my Ardunio is connected to the computer via USB/Serial things work perfect. When I descant the USB cable, it dose not work at all. Not that Im not running the serial monitor, Im just have the USB cable plugged in to up load the sketch. The Ardunio Uno running the ping sensor performs flawlessly until the USB cable is unplugged. Even rebooting the hole droid has no effect. But as soon as you plug in the USB cable it works fine. The Ardunio Uno gets its main power from a power source that powers the droid. Many other Ardunio boards run on the same system and all work just fine. Function: When the ping sensor on the Ardunio Uno detects someone or something within range, it sends a signal on pin #2 as digital out to another Ardunio Mega 2560. The Ardunio Mega 2560 trips a really turning on a cam and a view screen. R2 then shows the person in front of him what he sees. If the person moves out of range and the Ardunio Mega 2560 times out the screen and cam are turned off. The Ardunio Uno works perfect until the USB cable is removed. Anyone have any ideas? Im stumped.
