Oklahoma (as always)...ranks in the lower percentile of the United States pertaining to Well-Being rankings. In addition... It ranks constantly around 48 when it comes to education when compared to the rest of the United States. It ranks in the upper 40s when it comes to business development when compared to the rest of the United States. Oklahoma also ranks near the very top of the list in terms of obesity...which I see as a lack of health education and understanding of basic food groups (if it aint fried...chances are it will not be in a restaurant in eastern Oklahoma). Bring these figures up in a conversation with a native Oklahoman and you are bound to hear, if you dont like it then move. Which is an interesting response...that sort of proves these nationally comparative numbers and surveys. Maybe, one of these days...Oklahoma will be at the top of these national...educating people that can run the state at a much wiser level...raising such rankings as the Well-Being Index and enticing national business to develop and relocate here. But...those are days that are not in the near future~!
