Olive oil and peanut oil also burn very well. I lived w/out electricity for 6 years one of my candle saving tricks is this.. Secure any candle inside a glass by melting a medium sized puddle of wax in the center of a mason jar or any deep vessel and press candle into wax to make it stand. Once wax is cooled and hardened pour oil up to the top of the candle leaving the wick standing above oil. This candle will now last for weeks depending on the size of the vessel you used, making a beeswax candle last and last!!!! I have even done it with a birthday candle!
