Olivehurst fire department sponsored measure x failure saved local tax payers close to $1 million in 2015. This open check book measure would have had no restrictions on increases in years to come. This was floated as a fee to save the department, the fact is is local funding to olivehurst fire has increased 20% this year alone. The fact of this measure is that this is a tax targeting local middle-class home owners and preying on the low income voting majority in olivehurst which would be mostly unaffected by the unregulated tax. Be on the look out for future corrupt fees in the future as they are not regulated and are just additional taxes targeting one group of citizens.
