Oliver has got off to a terrific start on his walk to Santiago. After four days he has walked 104 km and is resting today in a little town called Monesterio. He has crossed from the province of Andalucia (Land of Light) into Extremadura (Tough Outback). This area is famous for its black pigs whose diet consists of nuts and seeds they find in the forests. This food gives the ham (jamon) a special flavour which is much prized and expensive.
