Omars tenure would be remembered as dark-period of J&K: Sharma POONCH, OCT 24: Asking people to give a befitting reply to those who are responsible for their miseries, general secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Yash Pal Sharma, MLC today said that during the last six year National Conference-Congress coalition regime has done nothing to minimize woes of the common masses. He said that ministers in the coalition have shamelessly utilized a long tenure of six years just to mint money through illegal means. “Six year tenure of Omar Abdullah led government of NC-Congress would be remembered in the history as one of the worst ever incompetence and corrupt regime the State has witnessed so far”, Sharma said while addressing a meeting of party workers at Poonch Dak Banglow along with party candidate for Poonch-Hawali assembly seat, Shah Mohammad Tantray. “The tenure of Omar Abdullah government would be remembered as dark-period in the political history of Jammu and Kashmir because during the last six year not even a single step has been taken to mitigate woes of the people”, Sharma and listed various scams which were exposed during the last six years. Although various scams were exposed during the last six years but action has not taken against persons, he said and added that it seems that Omar Abdullah government has legalized corruption during his tenure. Calling upon the people to teach a lesson to those who are responsible for their miseries, Mr Sharma said that NC and Congress were equally responsible for ever increasing woes of the people. Both the parties have betrayed people because during the last six years leaders of both the parties have shown their back to the people at the time of crisis, he maintained and exhorted the people to strength hands of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti to change destiny of the common masses. “Only PDP can ensure bright future of every section of the society because this party is pursuing a revolutionary agenda which is formulated by incorporating wishes and aspirations of all sections of the society”, Mr Sharma said. Speaking on the occasion, PDP candidate for Poonch-Hawali assembly seat, Shah Mohammad Tantray urged the people to support PDP for better future. Shazad Khan, Shamim Dar, Amar Singh Josh, Basant Ram,Bashir Khaki, Naresh Chander,Th. Vikrant Singh,Ragubir Singh, Master Mugal,Tanveer Dar, Master Yousaf, Adv.Choudhary Shabir, Amarjeet Singh, Amarnath, Molvi Rashid, Master Khurshid, Behari Lal Sharma and others also spoke on the occasion.
