Ombatse, Their Sponsors Must Go To Jail – Al-Makura — June 6, 2014 The Governor of Nasarawa State, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has vowed to ensure that members of Ombatse ethnic militia and their sponsors are put behind bars for the criminality they committed leading to loss of lives and properties. Al-Makura who stated this in Lafia in a chat with newsmen on Friday, said he will not be deterred by those who hide behind the presidency to perpetrate such crimes in an attempt to avoid punishment. “We will take all necessary measures in bringing to book those individuals who drop the name of the presidency so as to be protective of their criminality,” he said, adding “we will go through the right process and make sure that whoever is involved, even if you have immunity, we will wait for the period the immunity will expire and then, we will get back to you”. He stressed that the issue of dropping the presidency’s name will not help them because his administration is passionate about bringing to book those who have given the entire citizens of the state sleepless nights. The APC governor noted that the most challenging thing he now faces as governor is how he stands up to these criminals.
