Omisore Shines at Jonathans Rally in Osogbo Ayo Aluko-olokun Today was a glorious day for the PDP in Osun State as the Freedom Park was filled to capacity when the Jonathan/Sambo stormed Osogbo for the on-going Presidential rally. As different speakers took turn to speak, the ecstatic crowd cheered, sang and danced. But, by far, it was Senator Iyiola Omisore that got the loudest applause from the crowd that welcomed him to the podium. Each time he ventured to speak, the people roared in jubilation with shouts of Omi o! Omi o! Most of the Speakers corrected the falsehood of the APC that its inability to pay workers salaries was because Osun State was deliberately being shortchanged from the Federation Allocation. The Speakers included Akogun Lere Oyewunmi, Chief (Mrs) Remi Olowu, Alhadji Tajudeen Oladipo, Dr. Muyiwa Oladimeji, Alhadji Shuaibu Oyedokun, Dr. Olu Alabi, Chief Ebenezer Babatope. Senator Omiyale condemned the hardship imposed on the people of the State by the APC government. He appealed to them to exercise a little more patience and assured them that by voting for the PDP in the coming elections, they would have taken the first step towards ameliorating their pains. In his speech the National Chairman of the PDP referred to Omisore as the in-coming governor of Osun State and the people responded with shouts of Omi o! President Jonathan reeled out a catalogue of his achievements in the last four years. One of them was the resuscitation of the Railways and coincidentally a passenger train going to Ilorin had passed through the venue making the people to erupt in loud ovation. The President waved to the jubilant passengers. It was no doubt a successful rally today. The crowd was huge. The Organisation was near perfect, thanks to the Gani Olaoluwa led Executive Committee. The message was well driven home and many residents left fulfilled that they have been better informed about the many lies of the APC.
