Omisore joins world leaders, proffers solution to PPP by PATRICK OKOHUE Former Chairman of Senate Committee on Appropriation, Senator Iyiola Omisore will in October join other eminent personalities drawn from across the world to proffer solution to the issues of Public Private Partnership (PPP) in Zurich, Switzerland. The seminar with the theme: “Public Private Partnership, an essential framework for accelerating infrastructure development in Africa” is being organized by Dayo Consulting in collaboration with Switzerland Global enterprise and Masaba Coffee. The Seminar, according to a release signed by the Special Adviser Media to Omisore, Victor Oriola, is meant to proffer solution to infrastructural deficit and financing in the face of economic recession across the world. The organizer noted that the seminar will present a comprehensive agenda of the steps that will be taken to ensure the success of every PPP initiative, regardless if location, scope and complexity. According to IP3, two trillion US dollars is required for new infrastructure investments during the next decade simply to sustain current rates of Africa Development Bank, AFDB, defined 355 million Africans as ‘middle class consumers who will fuel demand for goods and services that will have a tremendous impact on an already inadequate infrastructure that stretches across the continent’, the statement read. The two-day seminar will hold between October 17and 18. Omisore, who bagged a doctoral degree in PPP, will speak on policy, Processes and Public Financial Management.
