Omo-Agege kick starts consultation ahead of 2015 General Election A former Secretary to the Delta State Government, Obarisi (Barr) Ovie Omo-Agege over the weekend commenced consultations as regards his gubernatorial aspiration towards becoming the next Governor of the State. Ovie Omo-Agege who is also the current National Chairman of the Urhobo Political Congress, (UPC) while speaking during one of his consultation meetings with the National Executive and the Elders Council of the UPC in Warri, pledged to pilot the affairs of the State with a pan Delta mindset if given the mandate. Speaking further, he reiterated his resolve to vie for the governorship position and maintained that he was offering himself for the service of all Deltans. He promised to use his wealth of experience in government to further develop the state by building on the foundation laid by Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan administration as well as build bridges of friendship across all three senatorial districts. “I will run an inclusive government to create opportunities for all if given the chance to serve the people of Delta” Omo-Agege declared. While emphasizing that he has the wherewithal to prosecute the governorship ambition, the former Secretary to the State Government expressed optimism that he will emerge victorious at the polls. He noted that aspirants from the three senatorial districts in the state contested in the gubernatorial elections that produced Chief James Ibori and Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan in 1999 and 2007 respectively, and maintained that the duo did not emerge on the basis of zoning.
