Omunuk glad to score for Kenya’s Tusker FC Ugandan midfielder Robert Omunuk said he is delighted to have scored in Tusker FC’s 5-1 demolition of Kakamega Homboyz in a Kenya Premier League match played on Sunday. “It is good to return from recess with the goals. Scoring for Tusker FC is always very special for me,” the former Simba player told MTNFootball from Nairobi. The Ugandan U-20 international netted the opening goal before Kenya striker Jesse Were scored four to lift the defending League champions to seventh on the table with 19 points from 12 games. The other Ugandans who featured for Tusker in that game was Martin Kizza and Aucho Khalid, while Andrew Ssekayombya did not play. In other games played over the weekend, Abbas Kiwalabye’s was part of the AFC Leopards team that beat Sofapaka 3-0 at City Stadium on Saturday. Uganda Cranes striker Daniel Sserunkuma was also a 46th minute substitute as his team Gor Mahia beat Karuturi Sports 2-1. Defender Ivan Anguyo and Israel Emuge are the other Ugandan players who featured for Gor Mahia FC.
