On 01-2014 I.K.9.S.A.R.S. K 9 SAR Expert Harry Oakes was hired by the Singer Law firm in Virginia to provide expert testimony as an expert witness regarding a wrongful death law suit where the Singer group represented the plaintiff. The Step daughter (The Singer’s attorney’s client) filed suit against her step dad for allegedly murdering her mother and collecting over $250,000.00 in insurance money. The alleged murder took place in 2010 in Virginia. After reviewing the police reports, crime scene photos, the person(s) involved depositions, on 04-29-2014. I flew to Richmond, Va. And on 04-30-2014, I gave expert testimony on search dogs, scent evidence, dog behavior and the death investigation regarding this case. On 05-01-2014 I flew home and at 1915hrs. I was called by the Attorney’s staff and was given the happy news that after my testimony along with the detectives and medical examiner’s, the jury found in favor of the Singer’s client (Step daughter) for the judgement of $8,000.000.00 dollars. Now the district attorney is looking hard at the case to charge the person involved in the wrongful death (Husband of the deceased) for murder. Yeah. Chock up one for the good guys.
