On 10/18/2014 at 1:56 PM Deputies were dispatched to the 19600 BLK of S. Sylvia RD for an injury accident involving an ATV. When Deputies arrived on scene they found an out of state resident W/M trapped under a Polaris Ranger UTV in the middle of the roadway. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. His name has not been released pending notification of the family. It appears the UTV was northbound on Sylvia Rd when it pulled over into the southbound lane; it was struck from behind by another northbound vehicle that left the scene. The UTV spun around and landed on the driver side pinning the driver underneath the UTV. A late model green Suburban was seen leaving the area of the accident. The other vehicle was later located. The driver is cooperating with investigators at this time. The accident is still under investigation. This is all the information I have to report at this time.
