On 19 July 1994 at approximately 5:10pm Alas flight 901, an EMB110 Banderante with 21 persons aboard departed Jimenez field in Colon Panama en-route to Panama City Panama, a flight of 20 minutes, ending abruptly 5 minutes after it’s take off in an explosion killing all occupants. Of the 21 persons, three were crew members, of which I knew all three. Of the 18 passengers, 18 were Jewish. One of the passengers, and the only passenger whose body was never claimed by anyone was a Lebanese by the name of Jamal Lya. This “incident” is still a mystery today in 2014 as it was in 1994. But there is more, the day before, on the 18th of July 1994 the Asociación Mutual Israelita Argentina (Argentine Israelite Mutual Association) was bombed and 85 people were killed along with 300 wounded. That bombing was performed by Hezbollah, instigated by Iran and Syria. I was there in Panama and privy to some information through some contacts and there was a connection between the two incidents. What is amazing is here we are 20 years later and the same organizations and nations are still creating terror worldwide. Look people, this was 20 years ago in Argentina and Panama. One year earlier on February 6, 1993 the World Trade Center was bombed killing 6 and wounding close to a 1000. Then of course came 9/11. Our borders are a shamble, and any idiot can figure out how to infiltrate this country. It is going to get worse people. To borrow from Hemingway, who borrowed from John Dunne, we as Americans are all tied together one way or another, to ourselves and to this great country of ours; when any part of this nation dies part of us dies, so –“No man is island unto itself every man is a piece of the continent, [nation], … any man’s death diminishes me, [any part of this nation’s death diminishes us], because I am involved in mankind, [we are involved with each other], THEREFORE NEVER SEND TO KNOW FOR WHOM THE BELLS TOLL, THEY TOLL FOR THEE”. Ps: For the benefit of any government entity that reads this because it sets up a flag, I was Secretary of Labor Relations for the Panamanian Commercial Pilots Union (SIPAC: Sindicato Panameño de Aviadores Comercial) at the time.
