On 20th and 21st Jan, 2014 about 10 lacs employees of all banks - TopicsExpress

On 20th and 21st Jan, 2014 about 10 lacs employees of all banks are observing a 2 day All India strike. This strike is in connection with immediate settlement of 10th Bipartite settlement. The latest news from IBA is that they have asked all the Banks employees to desist from going to strike, so as to regain normalcy in the economy.... My question is that: 1. Is IBA unaware of the fact that our 10th Bipartite Settlement is long overdue? 2. If yes, then why are they acting so stubbornly? 3. What does IBA think about us? Why during every settlement, we have to struggle in order to achieve our right (that too a low settlement every time)? 4. The most important question: Why is there such a huge contrast between the wage structure of Central Government and the Banking Industry? Friends, economy depends on banking system.. If Banking sector does not survive, then is there any chance that the Government and the economy will survive even for a single day? What I have observed is that the workload in Banking sector is more than any central government department. Can you tell me the name of even a single central government department, which has to deal with such huge customer base which we deal with everyday?
