On 2nd of may 2005, I received a call @ about 4:15 pm. Prompting that I rushed down to ubth Benin. How badly the doctors needed my attention. I had 2 play a trick on my sweetmum, who sat beside me, when I took the cal. To enable me get out of her sight without raising any tensions. On getin 2 the hospital I saw my beloved sisters Evergreen & Finest in tears. Then I understood the inevitable had happened. A great Iroko has fallen it was a bitter cup, I so wished to passover me. But then I braced myself up, hugged my sisters & urged them 2 stop crying. Dad had played his role, now it was time for us 2 move on, from his Era of leadership. The Mantle had fallen on the shoulders of a young man! Thank God for his Grace & Mercies. 9 years av gone by & ur legacies stil lives on. This is evident, in the uniqueness of the family u left behind! You taught my siblings & I In the most convivial manner, to be brave & courageous even in the face of great challenges. Your diplomatic attributes were second to none. U were indeed a gift to ur generation! All we can say @ a time like this is, thank u 4 leaving ur footprints on the sand of time. On behalf of my Lovely Mum, Supportive brother & Amiable sisters, I say, we fondly remember u today as always daddy & ur memories will forever be in our hearts! .....
