It is important to continue to ensure compliance with the democratic principles of pluralism and the rule of law,” L.Linkevičius said. The Foreign Minister assured Georgia that Lithuania further supported the enactment of reforms as well as the country’s aspirations of European and Euro-Atlantic integration. “Georgia is undoubtedly among the Eastern Partnership Programme’s leaders,” the Foreign Minister said. Both officials agreed that the upcoming Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius was only a new beginning of important processes. L.Linkevičius also highlighted the need to work consistently in order to initial the Association Agreement including the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area in Vilnius. According to the Lithuanian Foreign Minister, Georgia must continue to implement reforms necessary for the implementation of the Action Plan for Visa Liberalisation with the EU.
