Farm Day is a community focused event to celebrate the agricultural history of Alabama with a special emphasis on Birmingham Zoo farm animals. Guests will have the opportunity to watch a blacksmith make horseshoes, create rural-themed arts and crafts, examine several antique tractors and farm equipment, plant garden crop seeds and much more. Booths from Alabama 4-H, Alabama Cooperative Extension System, Alabama Farmers Federation/Alabama Young Farmers, Blacksmiths and Junior Master Gardeners will be onsite to give guests the opportunity to learn about farm tools, agriculture and local farming opportunities.
