On December 4, 2014, Mrs. Brandy Sims (KCCOF’s North Georgia Regional Director) visited Project Safe Thrift Store to make a contribution of women clothing, shoes and other items. Mrs. Sims has adopted this organization for KCCOF as we engage into a partnership with them. Below is what Project Safe is all about. Project Safe is a 501c3 nonprofit organization working to end domestic violence through prevention and educational programs, crisis intervention, ongoing supportive services for survivors of domestic violence and their children, and advocacy/ systems change work in our community. Founded in Athens, GA first as a network of safe houses, and later as a confidentially located emergency shelter and hotline, Project Safe has expanded over the years to better meet the needs of those seeking to put the pain and horror of abuse behind them. Today, our services range from short term crisis counseling on the hotline to long term support through our Follow Up and Transitional Housing programs. Although the majority of our clients come from Athens and the surrounding area, we’re a routing point for a national hotline and assist women and children from across Georgia and out of state. Please take a moment and visit their website: project-safe.org KCCOF is very pleased to support this organization and praise them for all that they do to end and prevent domestic violence. We commend them for caring for the victims of domestic and we will provide support to them as they continue their mission. Please join KCCOFs Board of Directors as we applaud Mrs. Sims for embarking on this noble endeavor on behalf of The Kenneth Campfield Outreach Foundation, Inc.
