On Eagles Wings Praise the Lord my sisters! Our God reigns! As I shared in a recent post, I want to daily embrace the faith declaration of the apostle Paul when he wrote in Philippians 3:10, I want to know God and the power of His resurrection and have fellowship in His sufferings. My God, My God! I must admit it still causes me great trepidation in my heart, but I know that God is the strength of my life and that this fragile clay jar that He is piecing together has His Almighty Spirit living in it! As we empty ourselves in every area of our lives that causes us to stumble, we are living out daily the burden of being crucified with Christ. As His Word says in 2 Corinthians 4:8, We are pressed down on every side - by troubles-, but are not crushed. The troubles we face can sometimes feel suffocating, but that is the enemy trying to consume our thoughts! We are perplexed, but not driven into despair. I thank God for the hope that His light will arise and shine in those dark times. We are hunted down - on our jobs by evil bosses, slanderers and gossipers - but our Great God never abandons us! He is right there by our side! We get knocked down - by the difficulties that we face,- but we are not destroyed by them! Through sharing in His sufferings, our bodies continue to share in Jesus death so that the life of Jesus may be seen in our bodies - as we walk, love, forgive, and share His Good News through our words and actions! The lost are watching you! So, my dear sisters, Never give up! Whatever you are going through at this very moment remember that as we near eternity and our heavenly home, our bodies are dying a little bit each day, but because of Christ our spirits are being renewed everyday! The troubles you have today and all of the feelings you are experiencing seem large, but they are really small. I know they are daunting and painful and you feel discouraged, but hold on girl, they wont last very long! Hold on! Dont give up! Our difficulties produce for us a glory that far outweighs all of our earthly troubles. Whether it be sickness, infidelity in our marriages, a miscarriage, loneliness, a sudden loss of a loved one, sorrow, a rebellious child, or any kind of abuse and neglect. Dont focus all of your attention on these things - I am not minimizing them - GOD is! He does not want us to fix our eyes upon what is seen, but instead upon what is unseen - and that is Jesus Christ!..Remember, that we are but a breath in eternity and this will pass! Cast your eyes upon Jesus! For what we see with our eyes and feel within our soul is temporary, but what we cannot see with the naked eye - God- yet see in our hearts is eternal. Your pain will not last long! Hold on! Hallelujah! This is for someone today! Be encouraged my sister in knowing that what is unseen will last forever! God will deliver you! To God be all power, dominion, glory and honor! Blessings to you today! Liza
