On Ebola which has now possibly hit Australia and is moving menacingly across the world from its current West African hub, it is increasingly becoming clear ones again African leadership not just only from governments have failed. 1. Some are saying we should pray against this demonic disease. 2. Western countries are now sending their armies and field hospitals to help with containment. 3. In the meantime what has happened to our Imams, Bishops, Priests etc? 4. What have done to hold our leaders to account? If they were to say we need a presidential jet, our MPs and senators will be rushing to Parliament to vote on the approval of the loan. When we need help, we run to Uncle Ben and his acolytes and think its all good, when they then at a future date start expecting that if we want their money and help we should accept certain norms and practices that we find abominable, we shout to hell with you Uncle Ben. What sort of double standards is this. The more we behave like this the more we give credence to imbecilic thoughts that we are lesser people and that we are an inferior race. I know we are not, however there is little to show for it.
