On Friday Sima & I went to the University Hospital in Durham for a check-up . Our GP had wanted Sima to have an ECG. She had been experiencing some episodes of being short of breath, When she got to the clinic she started to feel short of breath. The nurse put her on to the ECG machine immediately. When she saw the print-out, she called in a doctor. The doctor order a repeat of the test. She then decided to admit Sima into the hospital. Her blood pressure was too high etc etc. Sima was admitted into the Acute Care Unit and spent the next six hours there having a variety of tests . It was then decided to move her to the Coronary Care Unit. Rather high tech , a lovely room by herself, with an assigned nurse . The idea being to give her a quiet stress-free situation and monitor her continually. Saturday morning we were given the good news that Sima had not suffered a heart-attack, and there was no damage to her heart. They now think it is some form of Angina but this will require more tests. She is still in the Coronary Care Unit being very well looked after. The Angi-gram will occur either Monday or Tuesday. The Consultant told us this morning after they get the results it will decide the next course of action it will be either Coronary angioplasty or a Coronary Bypass operation. If you could remember Sima in your prayers!
