On Jan. 29th a groundbreaking method for reverting cells back into stem cells was announced - the magnitude of which is just now being understood. It now turns out this relatively simple method, known as SPAT (stimulus-triggered acquisition of pluripotency), is so effective it reverts the cell all the way to a totipotency state, meaning the reverted cell can regrow as a placenta and fetus! Forget growing organs, using this method you can grow the entire human being - an exact clone of the donor.
