On Januarys Incitement, we had a fan favorite in the house and after consulting with the Incitement Tribe, we thought why not bring this guy back one more time? Everybody, meet Sathyvelu Kunashegaran After graduating as an actuary from London (Cass) Business School, SK started working for top names in investment banking such as Bank Negara Malaysia. Driven by the love for numbers and deep interest in the lean start-up mentality, he left banking and ventured into finding easy and affordable methods to identify the market fit of any innovation. He advocates rapid validation methods through Makeweekends nationwide – a training ground for makers and doers in Malaysia. After leading Makeweekends that was delivered to 35 different universities and 2000+ students in 2013, SK is now leading the next best thing called RISE (by SME Corp and Tandemic). RISE is an initiative to upgrade the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Kuala Lumpur with the access to funds, exclusive training, content and support. He also guest lectures at multiple universities about new age entrepreneurship and the methods to start a business with just RM500 (check out the pictures). He consults multiple startups and social initiatives on the best marketing and growth strategies while working on some of his own (he likes to keep most of his work remains unattributed). He is also a well known speaker and have presented in many of Project Renaissance’s meet ups such as Kickstart, Webcamp and LevelUp KL. When he is not busy working with entrepreneurs, he demonstrates his thought leadership and creativity through lifehackmalaysia and sathyvelukunashegaran by writing about various topics ranging from entrepreneurship, personal development, life hacks, productivity hacks, social entrepreneurship to hip hop. Being a speed reader, he writes badass summaries for books through This Is Not A Book Club (soon to be an online bookstore) - an initiative that was build through Incitements own Incitepreneurship programme (You can get a peek of them here: https://medium/book-digests). If you want to get to know this brother, we suggest you to come over! :)
