On July 27th, Tele Pelosa (from Niutao) and I enjoyed sightseeing around Tokyo. We visited Shinjuku, Ginza, Hibiya Park, Harumi Pier and Akihabara. Tokyo had been called Edo till the capital was tranferred from Kyoto in 1868. The city was a mere village in the 12th century. Now, Tokyo is the center of national administration, economy, culture, education and transportation. Japan-Tuvalu Friendly Association is looking forward to seeing you all in Tokyo.
