On June 12, 2014, Mark Engebretson, wrote a book review for the Lake Country Sun’s subscribers for a book that he claims not to have read. lakecountrysun/opinion/ci_25949268/my-side-nasty-stories Mr. Engebretson was obviously referring to “Playing Possum – The Tale of The River Card.” Is it not somewhat ironic and sadly amusing that the editor of a newspaper would challenge the veracity of a book that he has not read? This June OpEd piece by Engebretson makes his recent assertion that there is some unknown “undercurrent” influencing the board of the Brazos River Authority seem somewhat disingenuous. lakecountrysun/opinion/ci_26882572/my-side-rejection-no-surprise Of course, it is also conceivable that the editor of the Lake Country Sun simply lacks the capacity to connect these two simple dots. We have contacted the Hood County News to have them review the book and investigate the material. Lets hope that they actually read the book.
