On June 6, 1966 my Dad hired in at Ft Rucker. He started as a utility man for Page Aircraft. He retired as an aircraft mechanic for Army Fleet Support in November of 2004. During his years at Ft Rucker he worked for Page, Northrop, Sikorsky, Dyncorp and AFS/L3. He pulled maintenance on the Hughes TH-55 Osage, the Bell H-13 Sioux, the Bell UH-1 Iroquois (Huey), the Bell AH-1 Cobra, the Sikorsky UH-60 Blackhawk, The Boeing AH-64 Apache, the Boeing CH-47 Chinook, the Bell OH-58 Kiowa, The Bell TH-67 Creek and more. I think of him every work day when I round the corner on the entrance road and Lowe Field comes into sight. R.I.P. Hayward Grantham December 20, 1941 - November 2, 2008
