Rose also said he would share his Dr Pepper with Buckethead as some of Bucketheads performances are on Chinese Democracy.[44] After it was announced that the album would be released in 2008, Dr Pepper confirmed that it would uphold its pledge.[45] However, Dr Peppers online distribution of free coupons upon the albums release November 23, 2008 proved less than adequate. Lawyers for the band threatened Dr Peppers parent company with a lawsuit just two days after the albums release.
