On November 12 personnel from the departments water rescue team conducted training with personnel from the South Beloit Fire Departments water rescue team on the operation of our new SAR. Team members braved the bitter cold that day in order to give South Beloit Fire Department members an idea of how this watercraft works and functions.The SAR is a specialized water rescue vehicle that we recently took delivery of and is part of our expanded response capacity to water within our response area. The joint water rescue team is made up personnel from both the City of Beloit and South Beloit Fire Departments.
