On November 30, 2014, I was interviewed by YouTube user xpallodoc, and the wide-ranging discussion encompassed subjects from visions of the future, indefinite life extension and the concept of I-ness, the future of money and economies, technological progress, virtual worlds, political barriers to progress, artificial intelligence, marriage and family, and being part of the push toward radical abundance and technological breakthroughs within our lifetimes. In the discussion, there are areas of both agreement and disagreement between me and xpallodoc. While we agree broadly on pursuing a brighter future through technology, free markets, and individual innovation, he and I also have very different positions on marriage and the attainability of permanent relationships (which I consider both achievable and highly desirable).
