On October 18, 2014, a female victim from Marrero reported that her wallet and the contents within was possibly stolen while she visited a business on Clearview Parkway in Metairie. Since the theft of her wallet, the victim reported several unauthorized charges on her debit card and credit card accounts. After contacting various merchants, she learned that surveillance footage of the transactions was no longer available. The victim made a second report due to suspicious activity at two bank branches in Katy, Texas. She advised that a black female had presented a fake identification card with the victim’s information to withdraw a large sum of money. JPSO Detective Rebecca Macaluso is conducting the follow-up investigation into this matter and has been working closely with Capitol One Fraud Department concerning the fraudulent bank activity in Texas. Anyone with information in this matter or who may recognize the female depicted in these photograph is asked to contact Burglary/Theft Detective Macaluso at 504-364-5300 or CRIMESTOPPERS.
