The incident reportedly occurred at approximately 7:17 AM, when the girl was walking to the bus stop located at Jackson Drive and 26th Street to meet a friend. When the girl arrived, she observed a dark grey SUV or Crossover type Vehicle pull up in the 2600 block of Jackson Drive. She described the vehicle as having dark tinted back windows and a spare tire rack on the back, partially covering the rear window. She told officers that the driver called out to her to come to his vehicle. When she started walking away, she said that the driver became more demanding as he tried to convince her to walk over to him. The girl ultimately began running away from the man, who left the area. Police were told that the driver did not get out of his vehicle. The driver was described as a middle aged white male who appeared to be heavy set with dark hair and a full beard. Gatesville Police are currently investigating the incident.
