On Reappointment of all ad hoc teacher friends. One notices a flood of appeals on the issue of reappointment of all adhoc colleagues on the very day the university reopens. Whereas appeals help build an environment conducive to action, but the real results would be achieved only through logical and coordinated action by all, not necessarily only duta or group leaders. First step is to find out the exact sanctioned strength in each college (distributed category wise). Remember sanctioned strength was not at all altered during fyup period. In each college add up the pre fyup sanctioned strength of teachers and add obc expansion sanctons (Tranche 1 +/ 2). I am sure this number, even with the inclusion of tranche 1 sanction only, will be in excess of total numbers of teachers working till 2013-14 end. With the correct arithmetic of sanctioned strength we shall be better prepared to meet the argumentative challenge of some recalcitrant principals/authorities. The next concrete step is to make a list of teachers(along with mobile#/email, teaching experience, etc) who were appointed exclusively for teaching FCs in colleges. This will also be in two broad categories : science discipline teachers in non-science colleges and others. Now those teaching exclusively FCs during 2013-14 belong to some core discilpline or the other. Concentrated efforts by all , college colleagues and duta/group leaders, will be required in adjusting them. My informed guess is that in most colleges the sanctioned strength would be able to adjust almost all in their respective colleges only. Isay almost because science background ad hocs in purely non science colleges would require readjustment in other colleges. This will require unity of efforts by all groups at duta level.But this is an achievable goal. I request senior teachers in all colleges to be active, first in calculating post obc expansion sanctioned strength and then aggressively pursuing with respective Principals the issue of appointment of all.ad hocs on the day du reopens. Workload can/should be slightly readjusted to accommodate all. There is a suggestion for caution. Some Principals who were extremely close to Dinesh Singh& Co. and were great champions of fyup in the print and electronic media may deliberately cause hurdles to create chaos.All elements of Duta leadership should be prepared to prevent them from precipitating a premeditated crisis.
